Team up for Aironi - Forsyth gets chance!

Post by Ads677 »

Seems that Andy Forsyth is not with the A-League this evening. Bearing in mind our problems at centre looks like he may be in the squad for Italy.

Why not, the midfield needs something adding to it and he scored in the A League last week. Give the guy a chance and see what he can do, I'm sure he'll tackle harder than Hamilton has been of late.

Sounds fair.

Move Agulla (who is slowly becoming the new 'pin-ball') to Wing, give bubbles a break (he sure looks like he needs one).

BTW, does anybody have any idea when we may see Kitchener?

Sounds good, Forsyth should add some attacking nous to our play as he is used to playing and running lines from 13. As for Kitchener I can only guess he isn't impressing in training and he didn't stand out during the games either. Hopefully he will come good in the end, he certainly has the potential but he appears to be fairly low in the pecking order ATM.

That would be my side too, if Smith is out, but Cockers will start with Murphy, Chuter and probably Hamilton. Smith will start at 13 if he is fit too I would imagine.

That's presuming Billy is fit to play. I thought he was still injured? Maybe I missed it elsewhere...

If Billy is fit I would partner him with Smith as it at least provides a bit more experience in the centres. My only other change would be to stick Mafi on the bench instead of Slater. Don't see the point of having two out and out locks when Mafi covers second row and gives much better cover across the back row.

Looking at the squad registered for the ERC
Twelvetrees, Allen, Smith, Tuilagi M, Young and Youngs are all injured

According to that squad list Kitchener's first name is also Kitch. There's no confirmation of injuries on there either so I'll wait to see what Cockerill has to say on the subject. Hopeing Twelvetrees is back at least.

Who is picking the team? Surely it can't be Cockers!

This is just a little bit different from last weekend. It looks like Augulla could be injured with Forsyth taking his place at centre.
