Amazing! On the one hand, I think this has got to be one of the strangest performances by any team ever. And then I think, "OK, it's France - they do strange things." But then I look at England's disobedience to team instructions (I won't say orders) and start to think that this is the start of the slippery road travelled by professional soccer where players rule and managers follow. Even when a player point blank refuses a manager's direct order to play he is not sacked; or when he is involved in shooting someone, or has a sexual assault charge covered up/bought off there is still no serious sanction. I accept we are a long way from this but this is the route being travelled. It may be no coincidence that the most disobedience is shown by those paid the most.

I think this is a wind up by the French camp. They are trying to persuade the ABs there is even more dissent in the ranks, thus making them over confident for the final. Won't work though. Happily, the French will be crushed.
