Well let's not expect to buy a paper like the Torygraph and read in depth reporting about Afghanistan, the West Bank, a World financial crisis and murder and mayhem on Britain's streets.
It's far more important for them to write about gum shields, a bloke larking about on a ferry, and Edwina Currie being voted off Strictly.
Under the circumstances, I think "meltdown" is a massive overstatement.

The Battle of Bosworth part 2. Last time (1485) the wrong side lost because of a combination of treachery, indecision and rashness. Let's hope the right side win this time.

We all might think that but clearly we've misunderstood things...

Pull your head from your backside Mr Thomas, you then might be able to see what we can all see - that the RFU is an utter shambles

Quite. Nothing to do with Henry Tudor Has "loyalty" or "honour" on it. He was a usurping thug and... whoops I'm in danger of usurping this thread.jgriffin wrote:The side my family was on won.Old Hob wrote:The Battle of Bosworth part 2. Although we were paid handsomely to be there.Don't mistake it for loyalty.

thread usurpation is not acceptable
It seems to me most of the media have the knife into England, and the players and coaches, whether they were involved in "incidents" or not. The sponsored mouthguards thing just seems a bit preposterous to me, all about corporate payoffs, perhaps the permitted mouthguard sponsors should have given a load out to all the teams so as to protect their investment.

2 points here
the rugby point, I assume that England had a medical team with them of well qualified health professionals capable of treating every kind of on and off field ailment, (excluding arrogance but including teeth and gums.)
So which one of this well qualified team was in charge of teeth and gums and making sure that their gumshields were everything a yummy gummy should be?
the telegraph point, despite being owned by two strange multi-billionaires who live on an island somewhere just beyond the UK Tax regime it has so many pages that the Afghans, the Libyans, the French and what to wear when in Wiltshire are all covered. It was quite good at exposing MPs too, ran a noisy campaign to be rid of Fascist Foxy AND has the musings of the nearly knighted Sir Brian Moore.
