Re: Hape to L.I.
Oh I jumped for joy there for a moment as I thought it meant Hape to Leave Internationals but I guess you mean Reading Islanders?

Re: Hape to L.I.
The guys that support Bath down here are not too unhappy (Or UnHapeeee)
sorry couldn't resist.
Anyway they not all that upset about him leaving, doesn't seem to put the effort in for them, mind you apart from the ex-Tiger guys nor do most of the rest of them.
Last week was better for them against the stains but I'll bet they won't keep it up.
Better not as the mighty Tigers are down this way again in a month, one of the shortest travel times for me & others in this area.
Good luck tonight Tigers lets have a tbp

They deserve each other.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
Re: Hape to L.I.
His international record is really very good. I think he has been capped about 9 times, more or less in succession since Australia last summer, and has beaten Australia home and away, Wales away, whopped Italy by 60 points, and France home. With a narrow loss to NZ. Englands midfield defence has been excellent, and the back 3 are playing the most exciting rugby in years.
I think the other big benefit is that because England are settled with him, it has meant them playing Flood consistently at 10, and stop messing about with him at 12 and keeping Wilkinson in the team.
Not saying he is a world beater, but for a guy who has played only a couple of years of union i think he has done an great job and has played a bit of an unsung role in Englands upturn.

Hape is a fairly good player, under-rated by most.tig1 wrote:His international record is really very good. You've got it, fairly good yes - good enough no!

Re: Hape to L.I.
Given what England are asking from a 12 then he is arguably the best candidate. All the chat about him being rubbish and England should play Wilko there or some other square peg is a load of dribble.G.K wrote:You've got it, fairly good yes - good enough no!
Re: Hape to L.I.
Nice to know you have an open mind on these points and listen to others opinions. Muppet.

Re: Hape to L.I.
We have to remember where England were no more than 12 months ago.The centres were the likes of Erinle, Hipkiss, Flood, Gerhaty, Tait, Flute and Noon. The back play was abject, the defence was rubbish and the results shocking. My opinion is that Hape has played better at centre than any of those players.G.K wrote:You've got it, fairly good yes - good enough no!
Who would you choose in the centre (s) ?
