Pub Recommendations for pre/post match.
If you have suggestions and recommendations for visiting fans, please post them here.
Those mentioned in previous threads are as follows:-
The Hind, near the station.
The New Road Inn
The Donkey. (both just past Homebase up the road from the ground)
The Swan & Rushes (heading down into town along Welford Road away from the ground).
The Old Horse, opposite Victoria Park.
The Salmon (near the Highcross shopping centre)
The Criterion, Millstone Lane. (Easy walking distance, good selection of ales but only do pizza or cobs as far as I know.)
The Counting House and Local Hero (very near the ground next to Morrisons, both do food).
The Lansdowne
The Marquis Wellington (both this and Lansdowne are up the hill from the station on London Road, both do food.)
Walkabout and O'Neills in the city centre often show the rugby, but are chain pubs so you know what to expect.
As always, these are only personal preference recommendations, and if you are intending to go to one of the above to watch a match, it is always advisable to phone them first to check they will be showing it!

Time Bar next to the train station offers all ticket holders 50p off house pints before and after games. They also have a great selection of sandwiches, pizzas and burgers available all day till 7pm. Being Leicesters origional cocktail bar, there is good selection of drinks that will keep you warm inside too.

The Western, Western road Leicester has 8 hand pulled real ales available. Under the stewardship of Tim and James the pub has good turn out on match days. Ticket holders can save money on house ale, lager and cider as well as 20% off home made pizzas.

Was very pleased to see the Bricklayers Arms has re-opened, nice atmosphere, good selection of ale(very much enjoyed the flying scotsman. Even more pleased having read the attached story in the Merc, always like to support the small businessman (or woman in this case)

Fantastic post by GwrxTiger - the Mercury article is really inspiring. Great to see a young business woman making a real difference.
I visited the Bricklayers in Feb and there was a really good atmosphere and lots of big screens to watch the game. Not sure what changes have been made since, but the decor was good before the more recent changes.
I hope Tigers fans support the Bricklayers. I'll be visiting for the ESPN games for sure.

Re: Pub Recommendations for pre/post match.
A new favourite of mine - Kings Arms in King Street. Black Country Ales pub with plenty of handpumps for guest ales, warming Winter fire and friendly management. Beer festivals with some very rare beers.
Can't comment on food - I think it's like most other pubs in this small chain - welcome to bring your own - usually plates etc available.
