Game over. Kaplan was a total joke, really appalling. We should have won the game really - I didn't think that much of the Australians, and but for a few errors we could easily have done it.

final score 26-15. good win for aussies tigers played well and twelvetrees was very good. Bizarre reffing and the final try should not have been aloud the ball was not out. Bring on the ospreys and if the team performs like that then we should destroy them.

Pros: aggressive at the breakdown

Julian lasted all 80 minutes

Bucknall isn't too bad in the scrum. Was a bit absent in the loose

Cons: Drove over too far in the rucks - I think three times and Australian player darted round after we'd driven so far no-one was over the man on the floor

Failure to adapt to Kaplan's interpretations. How many times was Newby pinged for hands in the ruck? Most people would agree with Newby stating on his feet and stealing legally but after the second time he should have given it up as a lost cause.

Turning point: losing 15-16 with about 4 minutes to go, Tigers penalty between our 22 and 10m line and failing to find touch. Had we got that, wind down a couple of minutes with the forwards and slot the dropgoal to take a 2 point lead.

Does anyone think the No8 will get cited when he punched Newby after about 8 minutes?

Citings not appropriate for this game.

Cr*p ref.

Only person to be cited should be Kaplan.

Just got back. Appalling refereeing. Tigers played with heart. Aussies were shaken and should have lost.

Hate to lose, especially at home, but the lads did us proud.

That team would have slaughtered the Quins on Friday.

Nah Tigers never looked like scoring a try or winning the game even if they'd played for a fortnight, Aussie defence too good and our backs too average. Once 12T had missed that last touch it was game over.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Although we lost and Kaplin was unbelievably bad I think it helped a lot of players!

12T's will learn to concntrate at all times so those vital kicks go into touch (this is up 2 the likes of Murphy to slow things down) and I thought his kicking under pressure was sharper, though needs to improv still.

Wladrom looked good at 7.

Manu can cope but needs to learn to tackly. His failure to us his arms means he has little future if he carries on...important role for the coachs here.

Slater and Skivington had their best games for me, though a little similar.

Thought M. Smith showed grat strength when carrying and tackling. Though for me we need players of diffrent style for an effctive pairing.

We lost, the ref was absolutely woeful but we came away injury free

Waldrom was playing blindside not openside - but agree, he did look good.

We lost a bit of our forward impetus when Mafi came on

Kaplan was shocking - Why do we insist on using SH refs for this type of occasion - everything should be in our favour - the weather the crowd the ref

Can you imagine England or the Lions going to Canterbury and seeing nigel pearson pitch up to ref - i don't think so - we need to make it as dificult as possible for these people - not hand to them on a plate with a SH biased ref.

Were do you start with him - reffed scrum badly and lineout and the breakdown was a complete joke - worst ref on the planet and that's saying something when you consider Walsh and Small!!

They were not that good and we could have beaten them

Plusses - Slater - excellent -
- TTs good except that last touch miss
- Whitey - good to see the old boy go all the way
- Manu - really looked up for it - great to see someone get in their face
- Scotty - commited as ever
- Matt Smith - Solid game
- Hipkiss - looked dangerous when he came on

Minuses - Crowd was very poor - rarely got behind the team and only when they were on the up - wholke periods of silence when the boys were defending like crazy
- loose head (can't recall his name ) looked distinctly average - not helped by Kaplan allowing them to charge and feed at the same time

Overall - a big missed chance - Bring on the All Blacks next year!
