Car parking

Post by littlefeat »

This has probably been asked many times before and apologies if so. Can anybody please recommend car parking within reasonable walk to ground for this afternoon's game? Thanks.

Parking available near Walkers stadium & Freeman's Common. Just DON'T park on any grass near Welford Road or Morrison's car park unless you like paying fines!!!

Plenty of parking at car park near Granby Halls, not too far to walk to the ground.

I pretty always park in the Car Park next to Morrisons. Its about £5 and only a five minute walk from the Stadium.

Just got to the ground for the 1st home game and found that were we used to park last year(behind the Mazda garage opposite Mecca bingo is now tigers permit holders only) the ncp taken up by the club again as is the car park behind crumbie stand were are the clubs expecting fans to park? They raise the capacity and then lower the parking options

Is it so unreasonable for the club to increase the number of spaces available and therefore the number of permit holders?

It wouldn't happen at Northampton. Every time Billy & Manu go there for a chat they can park straight away. :smt002

Yes it is unreasonable. They are not increasing the number of parking spaces available. They are simply reducing the spaces available to everyone. We used to park at the sports ground. So now we are expected to pay more for the same and pay up front for a year.
Having dropped my partially disabled Dad off at the Cat stand bar I was appalled to later find that all the tables and chairs have been removed.

Are Tigers management trying to say "Go corporate because we don't really care about you otherwise"

Victoria Park/De Montfort Hall
£3.00
Civilised stroll both ways.
Tigers ground is 10 minutes walk from the city centre at a fork of two busy roads, you don't seriously expect them to be able to provide that many spaces in the immediate vicinity!
Few tickets on those that parked on the grass yesterday, as for the muppet family that got dropped off on double yellow under the railway bridge just down from the fire station! She made sure hair was nice before pulling away.

Not as bright as the silver Merc which over-ran the entrance to the Cat Guests car park behind the Crumbie by 100 or so yards, then reversed back up Aylestone Road against 3 or 4 lanes of traffic to drive in.
