Side just about what you would expect. Hipkiss over Smith a linecall judgement IMHO would prefer 12T or Augulla there myself, at the minimum 12T should be on the bench instead of Jezza as he gives little impact from the bench & upsets the team pattern when he plays 10. (This is not an anti Jezza rant we only finshed top last season as he held us together early doors).

The selection of Manu on the bench is brave, myself, I would have made this move next week.

My main hope for this season is that some of the "Untouchables" get dropped if they are out of form.

As an aside I know we are short of 2nd Rows but Callum Greens workload must be closely monitored.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

It is almost beyond belief that Staunton is on the bench ahead of 12trees .There is nothing that Staunton can do at 10 that 12trees cannot do better . Whenever Staunton plays the whole balance of the team is upset and the back line may as well not exist .
As jgriffin says most supporters of other teams think we are crazy not to play him .

good or bad, wherever you stand, tomorrows result will not define the coming season...

saints start favourites, and rightly so given home advantage, but i admit to a few 'first night nerves' and hope for a good game tomorrow.

safe journey to those who make it , & i hope to enjoy sending you on your way as much as we will welcome you.

COME ON YOU SAINTS!
if you are happy and you know it, you are unusual.
