Re: Leicester v Saracens
Matt Smith would be a great player if someone taught him to pass.
Still keeping the faith!
Re: Leicester v Saracens
Bill you mean like all our recent 13's in the past few years!
Its No7 nature to never give in, give up or settle for second best.
Re: Leicester v Saracens
Greetings from the smaller but better looking ground in Northampton.
Honestly we really cannot rely on you can we ?
Why couldn't you just win ?
It put us to great inconvenience having to thrash Irish to avoid going to Vicarage road next week.
Have you ever been to Vicarage Road ? Orwell could have written about it. It is the only place I have seen gentlemen in string vests with tattoos shouting impolite messages to a referree.
I really shouldn't take offence at rudeness from Sarries. Just ignore them. They are just not our sort of people.
Personally I find their choosing to watch semi clad underage ladies before each home game a revealing indicator. Nabakov wrote a book about that sort of thing.
Never mind we shall thrash them next week at Franklins Gardens. We are very cross with them and only lost by one point in the last game when our resident demented leprechaun missed a sitter of a conversion. We shall attend to them most firmly.
Good luck against Bath. For heavens sake beat them or Fatty Barnes is going to be unbearable.
P s Your mods are much stricter than ours- but we don't care so much if someone threatens us with libel actions. Against Sarries you can always plead fair comment.
Bonne Chance
Merlin.

Welcome to the forum and for your kind thoughts Merlin.
We are confident you will inflict severe pain and ignominious defeat on the heathen South African Sarracens.
Tigers and Bath have history.
See you at Twickers!!

What happened when Croft got sin-binned? The radio commentary thought it was for an off-side offence that Moody was guilty of, but the unoffy are talking about a "red mist"?
Re: Leicester v Saracens
Twickenham?
Should we find ourselves playing each other wouldn't you prefer to hold it in the midlands ?
People are more civilised and the beer is affordable and drinkable.
Twickenham is a bit like an East German railway station full of Nigels drinking other people's money.

I would. But PRL, RFU and the sponsors usually ignore my views!Merlin007 wrote:Twickenham?

The only red mist was in Andrews Small's contact lenses.Kit wrote:What happened when Croft got sin-binned? The radio commentary thought it was for an off-side offence that Moody was guilty of, but the unoffy are talking about a "red mist"?
What happenned was that Tigers won the ball legally.

Croft quite clearly handled the ball, when off his feet, as Sarries secured the ball at the ruck. His yellow card was entirely justified.Kit wrote:What happened when Croft got sin-binned? Croft and Moody might be big names, but they did their best to advance the claims of other players for the playoffs.

Sorry, haven't a clue what you mean by this.
Don't waste your time away thinking about yesterday's blues

Re: Leicester v Saracens
I've read all the posts and what I saw today was it all going wrong in one of those "when it starts wrong it just keeps going" days. I would be interested to see possession stats but to my eye we lacked any possession for large segments of the game. Never mind what Mr Small did or did not see (Saffies high tackles for example)we made basic errors ,Tuilagi's dropped catch (did he turn round and attempt to pounce? No just stood there stunned and turned slowly) forward passes and lots of plodding endeavour. So , this is the off form match we have, the next two will be better. Face it though, we were poor. Saffies were not poor but were not good; we gave it to them.

Re: Leicester v Saracens
Matt Smith had a mare today. On 3 occasions at least I was screaming at him to pass and he didn't. Really annoying. Poor Scotty only got a touch when the ball was kicked to him! Smith's vision is awful and he didn't gain much yardage wise.
