When the forum was redesigned and rebuilt not long ago, any password that were not more than 6 characters meant people found it difficult to log on, and if the users concerned had changed email address since registering, then the reset password option wouldn't be that helpful.

You could try sending a PM by searching the member list for the user names and then clicking the appropriate button on their profile.

Talking about former posters, who do we miss most? Didn't Osprey in Leicester win the 'Lord Lucan Award' (or whatever it was) at the old forum awards?

Talking of former posters, one major contributor who has disappeared is Dave Angel. Whatever happened to him?

Dave announced he was no longer going to post here, I think he has been back once or twice but not for some time.

Watch this space, mate. I seem to be getting a few people hacked off.

I think you're impervious though. :smt023

I reckon if we tried hard enough, Kinny, we could likely get through to him!

He does bring a little "Je ne sais quoi" to the forum though.

Not a lot, just a little.

What happened to the chap who used to post 4,000 word essays about cycling through the Malvern Hills and stuff like that?

And Burly Bill McLaren who could type a 2,000 word argument without troubling any capital letters or punctuation marks?

Burly Bill McLaren last posted on 14 March 2008, announcing he had enjoyed being on this forum but he was now leaving and that he would post no more.

I suspect William Blessing may reappear at some stage. I know his posts annoyed some people but you can always choose to ignore them and just mark as read without opening.

Think OiL left through illness and not being able to pay his gambling debts to TJS.

OiL stopped posting when he went into hospital, and never resumed. My pm to him at the time was never received. I fear that his unpaid debt to Tim was the least of his worries.
