Two companies arranged to play each other at footie to raise a bit of money for charity. The iconic Jeff Astle agreed to play centre forward for our side.

However, when he realised he'd be playing amongst a bunch of office workers, he hastily withdrew on safety grounds. "Those are the sort of idiots who don't know what they're doing, and can easily break your leg." he said, somewhat wisely.

So I was moved to centre forward in his place. And got my leg broken.

Apparently when he heard about me, he did think it was funny. Well, it was really.
