My last ever post!
I just want to say it's been a very interesting ride chatting away on here for the past 11 months
I stumbled on here in april 07 as I had 2 tickets spare for tigers v scarlets which turned out to be a great game
I stayed for a while to exchange views and ideas with fellow rugby people. It's been interesting , its been fiery, passionate, there's been plenty of thrust and counter thrust, plenty of baiting and the odd harmless mickey take. I hope no-one has taken any offence if so I apologise. I just like a debate but hurting people is not my intention.
overall its been fun and interesting insight into england's best rugby club
you know where my allegiances lie and come what may tomorrow and beyond I wont be the kind of cat that purrs as he steals the cream. every dog has its day and thats the nature of competitive sport
This is the best game in the world. the culture is the best in the world. it has grown properly at the right speed showing respect for all peoples and cultures involved. lets hope it stays that way and the roots stay strong enough to survive the onslaught of commercialism and self interest.
In the meantime I'm sure one day probably unaware we will cross paths on a wet day in rugby country. You cant miss me Ill be screaming at the ref.
As with all visitors on here, even beyond our understandable parochial leanings our real love is with the game itself. It's always good to quit before the Lord mayor's show, not after and tomorrow is pretty close to being such a show.
Besides, win lose ro draw, it doesnt change anything, if you truly believe in something you dont need proof
so thanks for your hospitality and until we meet again, good luck and good night

End of an era. This calls for a Roy Harper moment.
When the day is done, and the ball has spun
In the umpire's pocket away,
And all remains, in the groundsman's pains,
For the rest of time and a day.
There'll be one mad dog and his master, pushing for 4 with the spin.
On a dusty pitch, with two pounds six, of willowwood in the sun.
When an old cricketer leaves the crease, you never know whether he's gone,
If maybe you're catching a fleeting glimpse, of a twelfth man at silly mid-on.
And it could be Geoff, and it could be John,
With a new ball sting in his tail.
And it could be me, and it could be thee,
And it could be the sting in the ale.........sting in the ale.

Well as the header over the road is flying an Irish tricolour as well as the Welsh flag I'm going to be supporting the Frogs! Toulouse 1994 Champion de France shirt on and a decent Gigonda (or two) to go with my cheese and biccies.
I've not agreed with much (Anything?) you've posted Bill but then it'd be a :censored: dull world if we all agreed all the time! Have a good day at the game.
