Heineken Cup SF Question

Post by DCat »

We already know that if/when we beat Stade, it will be a 'home' draw. Has it been decided yet where this will be?

i heard something about Twickenham being the venue if it was Munster, though it will most likely be nottingham or "Tha Villa"

And how many Tigers supporters do you think will venture to Twickenham for a semi final, when we could possibly be going there in 3 finals.
enjoy life to the full, it is not a practice run.

See what happens, but IF that happens then I can see a lot of fans deciding not to go due to the cost of numerous potential visits (No way I can do all four for instance), and I can see Munster managing to outnumber is healthily. Got to say I would prefer it to be the Walkers but I don't think it is entirely the call of Tigers. I belive the ERC have a large say in it as well if they feel a larger stadium is suitable.

We being the fans should be put first - BUT as we are all aware generally put behind TV,corporate sponsors and potential new converts to the game.
The terrace is not the place for the too easily offended.

I could cope with twickers living in london at the point of the game. To be honest though, if it meant a better atmosphere - which no doubt it would being at Villa or Forrest, or Walkers, then i'd much rather it was there, and I'd much rather pay the money for the train ticket to get there, or jsut miss it alltogether, especially if a better atmosphere meant we were more likely to win.

I think today's news article has answered my question. As you say, though, let's get past Stade first.

If we go through, I hope that we play the Scarlets, they are the new "Munster"....Munster themselves are old hat - they've won it and I would rather Llanelli win it if we don't.

Can't vote for that one. Munster or Leinster every time over one of the Welsh teams. Apart from the teams you just cannot compare the Irish hospitality and fans to that you get in Wales. For me Munster is my second favourite rugby team.
