Nottingham result

Post by Bud »

I think it was 61-0 at the end for Tigers. Crane scored a hat-trick of tries, Matt Cornwell scored a few and Varndell got on the scoresheet among others. Great game although very windy.

I went down tonight, was great seeing the players up close and personal (especially the notable first XV absentees Varndell and J.Murphy).

Burke's kicking record was 2/10 I think, but the wind was all over the place, it was nearly impossible.

Though the opposition were 'only' Nottingham, Jordan Crane proved that he is going to be an absolute star of the future, the guy was making 10-15 yards every single time he carried the ball.

'Only' Nottingham A team at that.

Guys and Girls at the game, what did you think to the Nottingham back rower that came on, i think, near the end?

i was really surprised when i saw the tigers selection for tonight. i went to nottingham yesterday to watch them play earth titens. all 22 players came on, which in addition to those missing through injury, meant the top 25-26 players at nottingham wouldnt be available for tonights game.
i am surprised that knowing that tigers put out such a strong team.
wish i had known in advance though as i would have gone to see those guys up close.

was the game played on the new pitch at ladybay ?
that must have been the 1st game on it.

Took him a while to get into the game I thought. His tackling was great though, as was his passing. Took his try well too.

I was 100% sure that he had in the first half. left hand corner.

He did show some good touches and pace though.

How did Matt Smith play? Is he one for the future or likely to get shipped out to another club?

I also thought varndell got a try, although it may have been leon.
I didnt notice the back rower that came on for nottingham but I did ntoice a backrower for them. Thought he had a good match.
I did not see the incident but a friend said there was a yellow card for nottingham, :( can anyone confirm
All on all a good match to watch, shame there wasnt more crowd cheering, but I suppose we were all trying to keep warm

Someone did get sin-binned from Nottingham, not sure why though.

Apparently my friend was wearing '1' on his back when he came one. Notice a 6ft 5" 'prop' running around?
