OPTIMISM

Post by smalldell »

Not sure I share your optimism!. Away at Gloucester this week we will be without, Castro, Chuter, White, Deacon, Moody, Corry, Ellis.

Our forwards will have to up their game in the lineout and the backs need to get going. Gibson can only play if Ayses(bad spelling) is on the bench.

We have to go away to Sale and Bristol. Both will be up for it. Sale will depend on injuries....agreed we will have all players back for them.

Still think we will make top 2 and get home game though

Glaws must be strong favourites next week. Our record down there is poor, and with our absentees and very indifferent form I would be (pleasantly) surprised if we got much out of it.

Don't write yourselves of yet, Glaws havn't being playing that well either and will also be missing a few of our big guns.

Some people always have us down to lose, it seems!!

I agree Jen.

Gloucester only just won last weekend. Tigers need at least ten points, possibly more from the remaining five games. We have to win a few and we won at Munster so why can't we win at Gloucester even without some of our best players? Can't keep using that as an excuse for us losing games. We have some decent understudies as Pat says.

It will come down ultimately to how wants this game the most.

I have booked a ticket in the Shed for Sunday. If it's as bad as Chesterfield Chris says, then I will have to make a speedy exit, or find a comforting bar.

I've never stood in the shed. From all accounts though (from Glaws fans) you'll be alright. Just expect some heavy banter and donkey chants when someone messes up :oP
Just hearing the shed sends shivers down my spine.
O, and don't expect to be heard under any circumstance...you will not outshout the shed!

quite a few bars close. Theres Teagues, no idea what its proper name is, opposite the ground. Its recognisably by people standing outside drinking because its that packed. The Gate is on the way to the ground and they'll be a good rugby crowd in there. Also Wetherspoons in the centre of town.

Not too sure that we will be able to get a draw at Gloucester.

Have more faith, Ben!!

Even if we couldn't get a result, given how many bonus points we have eeked out this season, I would be disappointed if we failed to get at least a losing bonus point.

I agree though that Glaws could be the biggest threat to us winning the Premiership this season.

All I hope and pray is that if we do manage to get to Twickenham for the GP Final that we put up a decent performance at the least and hopefully win it!

It needs to be remembered that Tigers are not the most disadvantaged team during the Six Nations, although reading this forum you might think we were.

Wasps have just as many players in the England Squad, all of which are in the starting line-up, and they also have Reddan in the Ireland squad and Ibanez playing for France.

They are also playing a Quins side this weekend who can give many teams a run for their money, as shown by their performance against us last weekend.

It isn't all doom and gloom as some would like to say.

I am hoping that we can get something out of the game against Glaws, maybe even win. But lets not forget that Wasps have on paper just as hard a game too this weekend, at the Stoop.

I pick out Wasps because they are the team we will measure against to know how many points we need to be sure of a top 4 finish.
