Ze French are coming !

Post by Ze Stade Fan »

I just registered to start a one-man riot in a self style-Mourinho fashion, in a bold attempt at de-stabilisating you all, paper Tigers !

Why ON EARTH is ze game played at Welford Road on a SUNDAY ???
Can't you just take the train to London and rent the Emirates Stadium for a coupla hours on Saturday ? Who's this Wenger anyway ?

That way no one's satisfied : we'll be travelling back home late on Sunday (or else people working in public service won't be on time to vote the continuation of the strike)so many of the experienced supporters won't be able to make it. The Welford Road stadium's too small so your fans will have to resort to Romanian gangs or e-bay scoundrels.

This is poor organisation ! Just for the sake of keeping home advantage !

With all that, the bargain sales period is not over here and I don't know what I shall wear. Pink is so hard to co-ordinate ! I'll ask Radike Samo for some accessories tips.

Now, April is far from now : on to Anfield, on to Old Trafford, on to Millenium but on a Saturday, for Pete's sake !

Hmm...I smell a Limerick man abroad, though I do agree about Sunday KO's.....It will mean a lot of away fans will not be able to make the trip.

Rugby should be kept to either a Friday night or better yet Saturday afternoon.
I RESOLVE TO BE NICER THIS YEAR !

If it is a Munsterman he's gone to a lot of effort to register himself from a French email address! Can't tell from the IP address where it is sent from though!

the IP address is in Paris, Ile-de-France actually.
But according to my Parisian penfriend, (I copied the post to her in an email) the language and vernacular used are unlikely to be a French native.
If it is a troll or spammer, they're logged and under observation :)

Otherwise it's possibly one of the 20 or so Stade fans who are keen enough to travel....

Also, why use "ze" and "the" in the same statement....

Aha, already destabilised, hey ? Thanks for comments about my being fluent in English, but the wise moderator is right : I am posting from a charming area near Place de la République and was raised here by French parents (i.e. : 50% of my blood comes from Sicily, Mom has an English ancestor somewhere and I heard about corsicans too)

To know if someone's French ask him/her about the elections to come and who he'll vote for. If he says "none of them and I wouldn't cross the street to :censored: in their gobs if their teeth were on fire !", then he or she is French.

But back to the question. There'll be MANY MORE than 20 of us travelling ! If you take the team and the staff, it's already 40. Our forum is full of bold Frenchmen pounding their chests and claiming they'll refrain from drinking wine at least two hours to buy the bus ticket !

Aye, actually, many of the bhoyzz here say they won't make it. It's a world cup year here and budgets suffered from that too. The Virage des Dieux (which I refer to as the "acne curve") supporters will be there as always but they are an average 14 year old and they sound like a girls school when they start their chants.

But you'll hear the Frenchman with an Irish brogue in your stands and whenever one of your Irish lads fumbles the ball, I'll sing "and it's a knacker's horse that pulls your house around !"

Go raibh mile maith agut for your hospitality, messieurs ! AND I AM FRENCH, AND, ALTHOUGH DUBIOUSLY, PROUD OF IT !
