Ticket prices for Q/Final

Post by krwa »

Can someone please tell me why we have to pay extra for our tickets. Thought management said it was nothing to do with money where we played

Because demand will outstrip supply for the tickets so the club is charging more because they can!

Money isn't a good enough reason for a move to the Walkers but that doesn't mean that they should charge the same as usual for a game that will comfortably sell out.

Just as friendlies are cheaper than league games becuase demand is less, knockout cup games are going to be more because demand is higher.

Basic economics I'm afraid...

No one is forced to buy a programme - or a ticket. I think the prices are quite reasonable and I'll be paying for a family.

I agree, the tickets are a little steep and in an ideal world the board would have realised the economics of staying at home and progressing to the next round as opposed to going outside and jepardising that. Especially with a home SF draw.

But I'd rather spend £32 to watch the boys in an environment where we support them properly than waste £25 in a plastic exhibition arena.

just been reading the Stade forum on the subject of the 1/4 finals and they are saying that they will only sell between 400 and 600 tickets.. so get your name on the list monday 19th feb if you are a guinness season ticket holder or a member i see at least 3000 of us being in luck.. :D :!:

To me this is madness ! The Walkers Stadium is a perfectly good arena, modern and you can see the game from wherever you are seated. The atmosphere is also pretty good. The only reason people don't want us to play there is because we have lost twice ! (and that is only because we were outplayed by Toulouse and didn't turn up against Bath).

So we had 2 options...firstly, go to the Walkers, everyone who wanted to go to the game could have gone and the club had the opportunity to break the hoodoo and win at the ground. Secondly, we stay at Welford Road and we all pay more money, but some peope who are desperate to go, will not get in !!

And the club say that they are going with what the fans want !!
