Jaffa Cakes

Post by Gonzo »

Made an awful error last night. Tried a blackcurrant Jaffa cake.

I adore traditional Jaffa Cakes, but this blackcurrant one was revolting.

Do not make the same mistake!! Steer clear of blackcurrant and stick to the good old 'full moon, half moon' orange one.

Why do companies have to meddle with all-time classic products?

Cheers Gonzo for that advice. Hope all stick clear of the blackcurrant Jaffa cake. I always loved the orange one. I agree, the companies shouldn't meddle with tried and tested products.

Brought a box of the oranges ones last week after about 10 minutes of deciding which ones to go for  looks like I made the right choice then!

Aren't Jaffa Cakes the perfect mix of short term and long term energy or something?

Jaffa CAKES are clearly cakes

For an indepth discussion, plus history of the jaffa cake and its brothers and sisters you can visit this fountain of knowledge http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/jaffajudgement/

On a slighty off topic note, the bourbon and club biscuits done on the site suggested above are amazing.

VAT-wise, I think they're cakes.

I know they're delicious! A packet in one sitting? No problem!

Someone offloaded several boxes of blackcurrant jaffa cakes on our office.

They were free, but so horrible we couldn't shift them. They got chucked.

if they're blackcurrent then surely they can't be classed as "jaffa" cakes as surely by nature "jaffa" is a reference to their orangeyness. hip hop you don't stop.
