I'd have liked to see Wallace starting and Martin at lock, but we don't know the full covid situation and that is still a strong team, which given players are out is no bad thing

A fantastically unbalanced backrow, we seem incapable of learning, still at least we have got a team out.
We are very much underdogs, getting anything out of this game is now a bonus, points wise we might of been better calling it off.
Ford & YBY really need to step up on Sunday & not just mindlessly kick the ball away.

Hard to know with the back row if it’s forced or not though.
We don’t know what’s Wallace fitness.
And with it looking like, Reffell, Brink and Taufua out

A fantastically pessimistic way to approach our first match of the new year!MCC1964 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 12:33 pmHappy New YearWayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 12:31 pm A fantastically unbalanced backrow, we seem incapable of learning, still at least we have got a team out.

Personally in the present circumstances, I would rather be surprised & uplifted by a performance than let down by over expectation, rather like life in general at the moment.

That’s a pig of a back row. Starting Wallace and letting Liebenberg cover BR and second row from the bench would’ve been far more balanced!

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath
That’s fair enough.. here’s hoping that you are pleasantly surprised then! I don’t think this is the team any of us would have chosen and we are certainly missing a few big names but I think given the recent COVID outbreak and the fact none of us know player fitness levels or availability I’m reasonably content with the side and quietly confident. It will be a very tough match for sure but I reckon we have every chance..Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:39 pmOr realistic maybe?OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:23 pmA fantastically pessimistic way to approach our first match of the new year!

Let’s hope we get something or results go our way. It would be depressing to be bottom right at the start of the new year!

Yep. With Worcester and Saints getting 4 points and Irish and Quins getting 2 points we need 4 points really. Don’t expect Glos to beat Sale but then again they are at home so who knows.
Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath
A strong team on paper but Bath have really struggled to hit form this season, so who knows what will happen.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 12:06 pm 15. Anthony Watson, 14.
