When watching the match back on Sky, he was quite clearly seen sat up in the stands during the game.
I even saw him in person leaving the dressing room.

Me too, sounds like panic setting in.

I have to admit being a bit bemused by this though, "Saracens look stronger than the under-strength Tigers team that won in Leicester 11 days ago, with nine players in their ranks who have played rugby in South Africa."

Yes, we were understrength, but the inference that a side with a lot of Boks will be stronger has clearly been shown to be nonsense (best word I could think of to pass the Mr Sweary filter).

As a side issue, is anybody else in a dilemma as to what to wish for in this match? I mean, which set of Boks do we want to lose most?
