Yeh it reads as something Borthwick has peddled a lot matching the standards Tigers demand.
He's talking about the squad in general not any players, don't think this management is as crass as to do that.

Wasps have players with few games for them, de Chaves and Reid are hardly inexperienced having been in the game for a long time.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

What a great time for JVP and Lancaster to start what will hopefully become a long term partnership for Tigers. With the support of a pretty solid back line and some good experience in the forwards they really need to enjoy themselves on the day.

An excellent team for Saturday. I hope we don’t do what Sale did last week but bet Steve Borthwick will try to make sure there’s no complacency. As others have said, Wasps, despite another awful injury list, remain a dangerous side.
Should win but for me another win will be brilliant.

So let’s give a solid platform or experienced players around an inexperienced half back pairing with huge potential to work with….Sound like an excellent plan to judge the way forward after the news this weekend. It would be even better with Burns and Hegerty available. Looking forward to viewing the poor quality stream on Tuesday as working this weekend

That's how I interpreted that too and I agree, we haven't seen enough of Kobus. I'm convinced he's a lot better than we've seen so far.Cagey Tiger wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 3:56 pm Anybody else notice this from Brett:
“It is a different Tigers team again, with a few more experienced campaigners than last weekend, who must give us a performance up to the standards we expect at the club.”
Last chance saloon for Kobus? Anyone else in the same boat?

OakhamTiger32 being pedantic think if a win on Sat would make it 10/10 this season. 8 League and 2 PRC Games this season not to shabby eh

Perhaps it’s a move to keep the loose head props mobile by playing them on the flank?
Or an opportunity to get some game time when they might not get it otherwise.

Or maybe they are more multi-skilled. Forwards running in tries is far more common nowadays. If Stack Stevens or Fran Cotton had caught a ball and run there would have been gasps all round the stadium.

Seeing as it would appear Browning & Manz have been training with the squad more than a little disappointed they are not playing.
Lets hope the younger players on the bench get some decent game time, keeping the winning run going would be nice, but exposing the youngsters is actually more useful long term.

To win is not as important as playing with style!
