There was a time when about half the crowd was local schools and rugby clubs due to the number of free tickets they gave away. It's not a local derby and won't ever be in my eyes. There's some niggle between the club over past fixtures and a bit of rivalry in we don't like them and they don't like us but not really much of that. I think if you have Tigers fans a vote win Vs Saints or Vs Wasps which would you rather we all know the answer.
Old school. Win v Barf comes top!
Barf is hardly a local tie though...
Not local granted...... too true mate.... But it's the win I want the most.

Fair play, its very close for me between that and aints to be fair
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

With Martin off with England think the team I'd pick

Steward
Van Wyk
Murimurivalu/Porter
Scott
Nadolo/Murimurivalu
Bonilla
JVP
De Bruin
Montoya
Cole
Lavannini
Green
Liebenberg
Reffell
Wiese

Youngs
Leatigaga
Heyes
Henderson
Brink
Wigglesworth
Henry
Porter/Kelly

I'd personally rest Green from the 23, but with the stuff about his 50th appearance, no way is he beimg left out completely...

As said before I'd rest Moroni so Bonilla can have a game, Brink I'll reluctantly drop him as thought he played really well last week but with a natural 7 it does give us more balance.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Like or not it looks as though Wasps in Coventry will be permanent for the foreseeable future, yes they had to give free tickets to schools to fill up the seats but it's not as if there was any other way of enticing new supporters and begrudgingly I think they have done a good job of it, judging by the Wasps scarfs and car badges I'm seeing in Hinckley :smt013.

It's a fixture with plenty of history and heartbreakingly close scorelines for both teams in recent years, but it's not a derby and it will be some time before there will have any genuine sense of locality to the matches.

Both teams pretty decent on paper, should be a good game I reckon.

Appreciate there is some depth in the outside backs now, but I am slightly surprised to not see Porter or Potter on the bench. Kelly is a fantastic young player, who deserves some game time himself, yet I would like to see more of Porter and Potter (who have been in pictures from training so I would imagine are at least fit to train).

Wouldn't like to be a squad selector with trying to balance consistent selections, giving game time and also a lack of competitions to play in with only the Prem running at the moment...

It's the first week we've seen them in training for a while so they may still be on the recovery path to fitness.

Surprised Taute isn’t on the bench.

Good team on paper; should be getting a win from this, especially as our forwards should be able to get the upper hand up front.

Also really like Muri and Van Wyk on the wings, they could do some damage ball in hand.

Makes sense - I must just be a little impatient!

Wiese back makes a massive difference to some front foot ball.

As excellent as JVP was starting last week, his energy off the bench combined with Wiggy's experience alongside Henry should hopefully bring out the best from the 9-10 options through the game.

Kobus van Wyk will be important with taking kick offs and his defending decisions impressed me against Worcester. Better seeing Moroni at 13 again, hoping for more of the backs moves we almost scored from last time at WR!

Should be a cracker!!

We’re you Eeyore in a previous life? I’m surprised you haven’t raged about the captain again.
