I do agree but players have to be protected from themselves sometimes as keen as they are to be back out with their mates.
The 3 mentioned played a lot of high intensity rugby and 2 more rounds of games than Tompkins did

If, as all the rumours indicate, Saracens play their internationals then fine: bring it on as I’m sure the Tigers lad will relish a chance to test themselves against an almost full strength team!
What player Welfare! Reffell didn’t come straight back in for us whereas other clubs have chosen to play their players.
Well done Tigers.

A point I would make is that a number of the players mentioned Ford, Rodd, Malins, played far less rugby being with England than if they had been with their clubs, so I have no issue with them coming back in

Ben Youngs is in the same situation and has retired from International rugby so isn't under RFU control, I see no reason why he couldn't be on the bench, the others likely all need a break but I would doubt Ben does

Absolutely agree. Martin injured, Chessum and Steward played a lot of minutes. Cole almost certainly played less than if he had been here , but if they feel Heyes and Hurd are doing ok leave then there.
Obviously Pollard and Wiese are in South Africa and Montoya definitely needs time off

He was in a knee brace before the Argentina game, though from rumours it's not too serious
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

He had a knee brace on after the semi but SB said it was nothing major. Hopefully a couple of weeks rest that he would have had may seem him right.

RE our South Africans and their victory parades:
Seems Jasper has been spotted at Johannesburg airport about to board a flight back to the UK (so not staying for them all, after all).

Just to show how fluid things are, someone has just put the squad up for last time we won at The Stonex in 2018 of the 23 man squad only Wells and Simmons are still at the club

Saracens have picked all of their World Cup players- we’ve picked none apart from Tommy- all rather odd.

Tbf they need the win,it will be a tight league this year with the loss of games,Sarries are going for the 5 by the looks of it. Hopefully we can get a LBP or TBP
