On radio 5 this morning, Rick (one of the presenters who knows precious little about rugby) asked what sort of comments he should make to imply that he knew something. Someone texted in to say whenever the scrum half puts the ball into the scrum, just say ‘that’s not straight’ and you’ll be right’. How true!

France have been incredible this half at times!

Brilliant second half by France,totally dominant for the most part. The loss won’t hurt NZ though, barring an absolute disaster they will still be in the QF and winning this group doesn’t matter as you can’t avoid anyone

Very disappointing from our guys nowhere the days of our free flow flowing rugby, flair and power
Maybe Borthwick’s chess like, no risk approach will have some success in tournament rugby after all - from a NZ perspective this was about wining and finishing top of the group-we sacrificed what we are best at and took far fewer risks - my thoughts

Glad the hosts have got up and running. They were clearly feeling the pressure a bit, but worked through it.

Genuinely think Italy have a shot.
