It will be good to see young Humphries back at Welford road - he was a good lad. Especially when we beat Munster at Thormand park.

I just hope we send Alex down his channel a few times and see if he has learnt to tackle yet! I don't suppose there is another Seru happy to step into the breach for him.

This has the makings of a really special game at Welford Road, with a certain Ian Humphreys returning to the ground that he graced a few years ago. Who can ever forget his nerves of steel performance against Munster at Thomond Park. I just hope that Youngs and Co get some much needed game time and give Ulster a run for their money.

Terblanche can't get a visa because Theresa may is being herself and everything seems to have slowed down

Congrats on the win lads
Whereas we are only missing :

Manu
Matt Tait
Ant Allen
Billy 12trees
Jordan Crane
Craig Newby
& possibly
Ben Youngs
Horacio Agulla

That's our first choice 7,8,9,12,13,14 & 2nd choice 12&13 - so I think we are (at best) evens on the missing players score !

Congrats on the win lads
In Fairness of the players you mention,
Paddy Wallace - 1st Choice, had one of his best games last week, will be missed.
Ruan Pienaar - Our Best Player, again will be missed
Jared Payne - Played for a grand total of 125 minutes in an Ulster shirt. Would add to the team but we'll survive.
Stefan Terblanche - Never played for Ulster, still locked in quarantine
John Afoa - Played twice for Ulster and home for a wedding, we'll survive.
Luke Marshall - 3rd Choice 12, AT BEST.

We'll survive and will never get a better opportunity to tame the tiggers.

Ulster Team Announced

Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin been forced into two changes to his starting team for the Heineken Cup Pool 4 clash with Leicester Tigers on Saturday.

Paddy Wallace will miss the trip to Welford Road after he had an operation to repair tendon damage in his thumb. The injury was picked up last weekend against Clermont Auvergne and is likely to keep the centre on the sidelines for 6-8 weeks. Nevin Spence is promoted to the starting XV in his place and will combine with Darren Cave in midfield. The other change is sees Declan Fitzpatrick start at tighthead prop in place of John Afoa who had to return to New Zealand temporarily. Afoa, who was not due to join Ulster until 1st December, had made a prior commitment to carry out best man duties at Jerome Kaino's wedding.

The promotion of Spence and Fitzpatrick means Paddy Jackson and Adam Macklin are named among the replacements. The development duo will make their European debut if they take to the field on Saturday. The one other change on the bench will see Nigel Brady providing cover at hooker instead of Andi Kyriacou, who will be given game time for the Ravens against Currie.

Commenting on the changes, McLaughlin said: "Declan has proved to be a very good tighthead prop. A couple of years ago against Stade Francais in this competition he proved what he is capable of at this level.

"To lose Paddy is a blow. After the World cup he came back itching to play and it's very unfortunate for him. But in Nevin Spence we have an able replacement and we have no doubts he a can do an excellent job for us. We are very fortunate to have a lot of depth in that area with ian Whitten and also Luke Marshall who is making his way back from injury."

McLaughlin continued: "Welford Road has always been a very difficult place to go. Maybe with the World Cup they haven't got off to the best of starts but with their internationals back they will be a tough nut to crack. But we are going there full of confidence."

This is what watching your team is all about, top class european rugby, two very good teams. We cannot under estimte the win Ulster had last week against most peoples favourites for this pool.
Tigers have the team to win this,I just hope the crowd get behind the team,as I'm sure the travelling fans will get behind theirs.

3-6 after 12 minutes. Flood's just missed a pen. Lot of errors already and we've barely had the ball so far.
