Not surprising, Hatherall is the same age as Jasper but sadly not in the same stratospherelonglivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 4:41 pm It was mentioned on comms yesterday that there was a shopping list of players to replace Wiese, which indicates that Hatherall may not be the main man.

Not a name I know. Quick Google search shows him to be 24 with around 50 appearances for the Lions. Decent try scoring record 6ft 3 and approx 16 and 1/2 stone in old moneylonglivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 5:18 pmFrancke Horn from the Lions.sapajo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 5:16 pmOoh you are a tease, so please pray tell?longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 5:14 pm I have had a name mentioned to me as the guy who could be his replacement

From the first clip he would appear to be bigger than his stats given on Wikipedia.
Possibly another Wiese type project, no one had really heard of him before either

Was also mentioned that Wiese probably off to Japan. Lots of yen and short season. Maybe joining Freddie B at the Shuttles

Yeah signed a contract until 2025 so unless something has gone wrong at the Lions it looks unlikely.RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 5:59 pm Horn did sign a new Lions contract the other month so we will see.

I really hope we have a good look at English preferably our Academy players before going for a foreign player. We do want the best at Leicester but the pathway should not be blocked for our own talent.

For the squad as a whole I would agree with you, and is something as a club we are getting better.johnthegriff wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:21 pm I really hope we have a good look at English preferably our Academy players before going for a foreign player. However Wiese is such a key player for us, that replacing him as like for like as possible is vital no matter where in the world they come from

Dan McKellar on Mike Brown; "I am doing all I can to keep him at the club, we will see where we get to in the next couple of days. We are not farewelling him".
