Hasn’t he got a chronic knee problem ?

I know historically Nadolo has often been on the heavy side of being fit and been injured as a result but Aled and the team have sorted that out here.

Not sure even Aled can make Naiiyaravoro fit for 15+ games a season which is really what you’d want as a minimum

First I heard of it being Chronic
Outside this season at Saints he's on.
2020/21 - 14 games
2019/20 - 26 games
2018/19 - 28 games

Naiyaravoro is a poor man’s Nadolo. Nemani is irreplaceable as a like for like. He is unique. We may get an excellent replacement but I doubt they will be as effective in the opposition 22.

If he leaves I wish him all the best. What a wonderful player he has been. Can think of few more endearing to the club faithful than Nemani.

Nemani would, of course, be very difficult to replace. So difficult, in fact, that it’s probably not worth trying - better instead to change tactics and recruit an out and out speedster. Would be better than bringing in an inferior crash ball merchant - there’s more than one way to skin a cat/win a rugby game.

That was my point, we’ll need to adapt when / if he leaves

Agreed: Nadalo will be a huge loss like Goneva was. Hope everything with his family back home is ok. Also hope, if we are really good to him, he stays for 1 more season.
Brilliant for him to have his mum at Welford Road yesterday.

Unfortunately the rumour of him leaving to go home was because of some "tragic" family circumstances, not sure those get answered by just paying for his mum to visit.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

It was not meant as a serious suggestion.

Very true, but knowing which ones is the trick
If you can ever be bothered, look up “Oriundi” - super interesting and slightly peculiar geographical quirk. Culturally it makes sense but less so language wise. Either way we’ve been on the receiving end of at least one pretty awesome one!

Could do the job certainly a threat but I would fancy a forward to put him down with not that much of a issue on a crash ball line. His strength usually from what i've seen at Tigers and his highlights is the ability to power past through a mix of size and acceleration any one v one's with the opposition 13/winger.

He's not the quickest winger or the biggest (Despite his height and weight stats) but he has a balanced mix of both.

Reality is finding someone who offers Nadolo threat is really next too impossible.

I think out of all the squad Porter is really only one who might fill in that role more.
Walter Fifitia up at Glasgow? Ten years younger and not quite the same weight but still north of 8 stone and 6ft5 though he's not really made a splash there as of yet.

Saumaki has a lot of acceleration for a big bloke, not sure he uses his weight as well as he could in contact. He's got bags of potential to be a really dangerous player but what you get with Nadolo is the refinement, he's been there and he's done it. The bloke is class and knows exactly how to maximise his strengths.
Surely we have the ready made replacement in Muri, I cant understand why he gets so little playing time?

Regarding your suggestions of Fifitia, he's a bit lightweight don't you think? :smt052

Was just rewatching the game from yesterday. One thing that struck me was Tommy Reffell. Normally he's a monster in defence and turnovers, but many here say ball in hand he's shown some weaknesses which sets him apart from international standard 7s.

Ok so he's not a crash ball specialist but his try and his interplay for Nemani's 2nd try were both really good attacking reads of the game. 12 months ago that wasn't part of his game. He isn't ever going to be a big ball carrying backrow, but with the likes of Wiese, Liebenberg, Chessum, Martin (&🤞Van Staden) as his back row mates he doesn't need it, what he needed was that attacking element to his gameplay howevwr that manifested, yesterday showed that.

I know we can't magically solve his International ambitions, but my goodness I'd love for us to keep him at least one contract longer! Especially if there's doubts over Van Staden's future.
