Jonny Gray leaving Glasgow
Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
Line-out leader, defensive rock and good carrier. He'd be massive step-up in a position where we need to improve our options.

Could see him going to Toulouse to link up with Richie

Would've been good, but brother Richie's contract finishes at the end of this season and he's rumoured to be heading home.

Not just a lineout leader. He's a good captain. At 25 he's heading into his prime as well. Would be a great signing for us. He would be pricey but if the plan is to bring in more players with both the ability to play a mobile and physical style of rugby but who can also stand up and lead then he does for the bill.
If he leaves Glasgow I can see him following his brother and taking some silly money on offer in France.

BBC saying Glasgow Warriors lock Jonny Gray is expected to join Scotland team-mate Stuart Hogg at Exeter Chiefs next season.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

How are these teams affording this?!?

Gray can be marquee though.

All depends on who Exeter decide to release. If Dave Dennis plus a squad lock (e.g. Price) were to go then that would free up a good wedge. Gray can be marquee but whomever else is a marquee will need accommodating within the cap.

It will be a good signing for Exeter , should it be confirmed.
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Isn’t Hogg marquee player?
Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
I thought there were two marquee players in a squad?

I don't think you could have both Gray and Hogg as marquee, unless Hogg is not currently marquee. Both would only qualify for the second excluded player slot.
