Yep always rated Simmons. Has that sprinkling of x-factor as shown by his try against ASM. I always thought he was better than White coming through the academy and had more talent. Funny what luck with injuries and moving positions can do.

One thing this Tigers team does lack in pace and Harry has it in spades!
Not to mention agility!

With Harry Simmons,I believe the key his fitness and game time.Attempting to prove yourself (esp.to a new coaching set up) after a time out isn't the easiest task in the world. For me though the one thing he has - or at least had - was searing pace. This scares any opposition..
Mayhaps he also needs to nail his colours to the wall on a preferred specialist position. He has (had) the potential to be more than a utility player.
Wish him well and hope for the best, certainly looked to have talent.
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

I hold my hands up - I commented earlier that Simmons has only really had that one moment in France to his name as a winger, but that was a very solid performance against Bath. If he can do that each week he'll be pushing for a bench spot.

Thought Simmons played very well. Tackled hard, chased kicks well and popped up looking for the ball in attack. Had a few nice darts where he used his pace and footwork. If he can stay fit, he will be in and around the team for a while to come. Seems well thought of and DMK spoke about his point of difference well in the BBC RL interview postgame.

With Watson around to learn off I think Simmons will learn a lot. A Simmons, OHC and Steward back 3 has a really nice balance for long term future imo. (Not discounting the likes of Watson at his best being one of the 1st names on the team sheet, Bassett being a classy operator and Brown performing well when called upon).

I completely agree, he just needs to stay fit. Therein lies the problem...........(unfortunately).

Hopefully a new year brings new luck for the guy! He deserves some that’s for sure!

Dont want to be a Watson basher but whats he done lately for Tigers and England? Yes a couple of years ago he was great but we havent seen much of him due to injury and therefore I cant see where all this praise is coming from at the moment. :smt017

Very similar to the Manu situation, players being judged on what they once achieved rather than their current situation which seems to be injured more often than not
