Connacht (Galway) is a nice place to visit in the run-up to Christmas but not a very nice journey. Flew to Dublin then took a coach to Galway the time I went.

It’s cold, wet and windy through the summer. Can think of places I’d rather go in Dec/Jan 🥶🥶Cagey Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 6:14 pmConnacht (Galway) is a nice place to visit in the run-up to Christmas but not a very nice journey. Flew to Dublin then took a coach to Galway the time I went.

Did spend a lot of time in pubs and bars, and it didn't rain. Quite mild for December and the town centre was nicely decorated with various things going on.Dokie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 10:22 pmIt’s cold, wet and windy through the summer. Or would you prefer Ulster (if it turns out to be the alternative)

I went on an Easter tour with Loughborough back in 1970 to Galway and had a whale of a time! I « borrowed » a Guinness glass from a pub, still have it and will return it next time I go there!! Good memories, welcoming people. Would like to go if Tigers are drawn with them.

I don't belong to Mensa but I think we're playing Bordeaux and Connaught
