Quins are still playing very well despite the losses though.

Key will be slowing them down, wasps playing into their hands.

Les was a magician, Dosser used to do his tackling for him.

Agreed as long as we slow Quins down at source they will have little threat.

Having witnessed the genius that was the teenage Henson, I keep getting the feeling that Smith is of that ilk, with no evidence, I.e. come up short.
Must be a bias against that hitch-kick 🤣

Had Smith been capped at international level much sooner then I believe we could have been looking at the new Henson or Cipriani, but I actually think it’s paid off quite well and now he’s some player. Could be him versus Ntamack as the world’s best for the next 5-10 years.

I reckon Mike Brown covers a lot of the stuff that Smith doesn't do so well and it'll be interesting to see how it goes next season when Brown moves to Newcastle.
Quins will need a good defensive reader to replace Brown.

I think Hanro, Heyes and Kini are due a week off. Want to see more of Henderson. And I thought Williams did well when he came on.

After watching Quins vsWasps today I really believe the best half back pairing Eddie could pick for England is Robson and Smith, both were outstanding today, if you pick them behind England’s dominant pack they could take our back play to a different level. Wish the both of them were playing for us.

If I were Head Coach, I’d be trying to get my preferred team for the final (subject to fitness/availability) starting against Quins. Get as many minutes together on the pitch as reasonable/practical. Depending on how the Quins match goes, would be thinking about protecting a few of the key players for the final after 50 or 60 minutes given it is less than a week after Quins.

It’s a fine balancing act giving combinations time together, keeping players fresh and protecting some.
