Re: Team v Wuss??
I'd suggest we want to change as little as possible for next week. We just need to keep our side of the scoreboard ticking over, not unnecessarily going for the corner as we did 5 minutes before HT on Saturday, particularly if the lineout falters again. This is a job from Freddie and Owen unless our defence falls apart.

Looks like Worcester have a lot on their mind at the moment.....http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/39773123Old Hob wrote:But what sort of team will Wuss put out? Surely there's nothing in it for them; they are not going to be relegated and they can't make Europe.

BBC Leicester say "Telusa Veainu doubtful for Leicester Tigers trip to Worcester. He missed the Sale game wearing protective book. Ed Slater (foot) ruled out."
We used to try stuffing books down our trousers when visiting the Headmaster's study 'back in the day' - is this still considered a good way of avoiding pain?

Well at least he should be fit for the semi with the sound of it. I'd written him for the season!strawclearer wrote:BBC Leicester say "Telusa Veainu doubtful for Leicester Tigers trip to Worcester. He missed the Sale game wearing protective book. Ed Slater (foot) ruled out."

Worcester announces their clear out adds a new dynamic. Could work either way though?

Being without Tait AND Veainu would be a right pain.
Move Burns to 15 and Williams to 10, Smith to 12 and Roberts 13?
JP or Betham to 15?
Bryant to 15?
There are options, but all rather untested for this stage of the season.

Yep. However, I suspect the Williams 10, Burns 15 option would be preferred, as it was after Cockers departed.RagingBull wrote:Iain wrote:Being without Tait AND Veainu would be a right pain.

I'd be loath to move Burns, he has been the catalyst for much of the backs play in recent weeks. If fit then Worth should play.Hot_Charlie wrote:Yep. Aye, but if it was a choice between Burns or Williams at 15 I think Freddie is the more natural fit, as we saw in the NY matches.

Re: Team v Wuss??
I think we should field a team that would get us some points i.e. at least 4. If we can rest some star players like Veianu and Mermoz for the harder battles to come all well be it.
Re: Team v Wuss??
I now see this as a real banana skin of a game. Tigers have too many injuries as usual and Worcester have their star players back. I cannot believe are already talking about a semifinal. Look at the way Worcester beat Bath and if they play like that, which I am sure they will, I cannot see anything but a difficult afternoon especially if Cole and Youngs cannot play. TV out is a huge blow then with Lochy, Slater, Tait and the rest out we have no squad depth. Still at least we have a chance which after the season we have endured is some achievement. Well done zithers no matter what happens at Worcester!
Re: Team v Wuss??
Worcester may be without Val Rapava Ruskin, as he has been cited for allegedly pushing Greg Garner at the Newcastle Falcons game last Friday. He would be a big loss for them.

Interesting article featuring MOC in todays DT, especially the piece where he says that he hopes Veainu will be fit for Worcester - smokes and mirrors as usual....hopefully not!
