Agreed Tigerbeat the query should be about playing skills and not personal circumstances, The Rider to that though is we are talking about the club captain and if his personal circumstances do impinge on his ability to carry out that role, then the club could help ease his burden by appointing a different club captain pro tem until his personal circumstances ameliorate, My choice would be Ed Slater who is now fit again and able to play. So why not let McGuigan take the hooking role with Slater and Kitchener behind him and Dom Barrow on the bench. If Tom Croft is fit again I would play him on Saturday purely for his line out skills. I've done a little research and whenever Slater,Kitchener and Croft play together we very rarely lose. Points for thought.

Barrow on the bench ? he should be the 1st name on the teamsheet as far as the forwards are concerned ( after Genge of course )

Kitchener was at his lineout best last Saturday - the problems weren't his, I don't believe - and Croft is still majestic in the air. Powerful combination.

Hats off to Noddy and his research, of course when Slater, Kitchener and Croft don't play together we don't very often lose either.
We have just one match left of the regular season with a possible two following games, this is not the time to change captain certainly not for a player (great though he is when fit) who has not played for several months and who is unlikely to start at Worcester.

We have 3 games to win. Full support behind every member of the squad. They are our Tigers, some to their core.

I bumped into Tom today and we had a quick chat.
I have known and supported Tom for a long time since his Nottingham days and I've never repeated anything that may be remotely sensitive (and won't start now) but what I will say is that I was a little concerned.
I will not elaborate further on this, thanks.
However I Echo wholeheartedly Chewbacca's post- get behind em all.

:censored: talk about a tease.

Can I ask questions requiring only a yes or no answer?

Are you concerned because he is under a great deal of stress over a personal matter?

You can ask but it doesn't mean you will get an answer!
And the answer to your question is no.

Do you think he will still be a Tiger next season?

To be honest, if you are not going to answer certain questions, which is completely understandable, or if you say no comment or just don't answer then it's quite obvious that the answer is something we aren't meant to know e.g. Will he be here next season? No comment. This opens up a huge can of worms and will start tongues wagging and rumours being spread. If you really want to respect his privacy, you'd be best to say nothing whatsoever to any questions asked.

+1

A pointless post. There is a song by The Amazing Rhythm Aces which goes "If you ain't going sell me no bacon, don't you open up the store" which fits perfectly here
