Re: Seremaia Bai
Must have been something in the water this weekend, apart from Bai, Henderson gets a red card for Ulster, for a remarkably similar offence as Bai, and Ulster get last play try to get a 23-23 draw with Munster and today Parisse gets a first half red against Racing and Stade still win 28-19

Re: Seremaia Bai
If you watch Hughes at the break down well before the hit, he is laying over sealing off the ball. I happened to mention that he needed to be pinged and 'cleaning out' as it was repetition!! I guess Bai noted it too but the 'red-mist' got the better of him - stupid as the Tigers could have done with 5pts which IMO was going to happen given the dominance the Tigers had even with 14.

Re: Seremaia Bai
Bai was reckless in the extreme, especially as the whistle had gone. I have no doubt he will receive a ban.
I believe the red was for use of his head, so why did B Vunipola get away with it? At least SB seemed to lead with his arm.

Without wishing to defend Bai, just watched the highlights and freeze framed it showing Hughes clearly off his feet with his hands on the ball. If Barnes had given it as he should, Bai wouldn't have gone in.

Seriously… now we are blaming Barnes for Bai's utter recklessness….?Without wishing to defend Bai, just watched the highlights and freeze framed it showing Hughes clearly off his feet with his hands on the ball. If Barnes had given it as he should, Bai wouldn't have gone in.
Back on planet earth: when do we get to know the outcome of his stupidity and the length of his ban?

No, I am blaming Barnes for not reffing the breakdown properly. There can be no excuses for Bai's idiocyMrPartridge wrote:Seriously… now we are blaming Barnes for Bai's utter recklessness….?Without wishing to defend Bai, just watched the highlights and freeze framed it showing Hughes clearly off his feet with his hands on the ball. Re: Seremaia Bai
I think Bai looked concerned immediately after the event and even went to check
If Hughes was ok. Hopefully the fact that he looked genuinely remorseful will be In his favour!

I can't find any announcement on the hearing. Has anyone heard anything?
Also, what's the latest on Ant Allen?

We could have a very square-shaped peg in a round hole on Saturday.Stu_F wrote:Mercury lists Allen as still injured in article tonight.L Smith wrote:I can't find any announcement on the hearing. Has anyone heard anything?

Ant: crocked
Bai: probably banned
Catchpole: 13 but could move inside
Hepetema: who?
Roberts: recovering but possibly not ready for defensive duties in such a key game?
Pohe: already gone?
Williams: crocked
Manu (could possibly do a job at inside centre): crocked
Am I missing anyone? Shazzam? Thacker?
Could we see A Loamanu / Goneva combo (big gaps in that combo) or Loamanu / Smith pairing?
IMHO, Loamanu has yet to prove he can play 80 minutes and makes an ideal impact sub.
How about Bell at 10 & Freddie at 12?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious!
