There's one in Newark which I hear is quite good although I have never been.

Problem is it has to be easily accessible for one without a car :P I.e near a train station or in a city.

There used to be a good one at Milton Keynes. I think it was Nigel Mansell's. Don't know if it's still there though IT.....you could try googling it. It looked very big and posh but I never went.

Nottingham Raceway Karting on the A46 North East of Leicester.

As you leave Leicester it's about 10 miles up the A46 on the right, next to the Willoughby Hotel.

It's the track where snooker player Willie Thorne broke both his legs!

IT, The track I went to was about 10 minutes away from Birmingham train station and seemed very well run. I can't comment on it's size, As it's the first one I've been to a for a few years.
