I think it's a co-ordination thing Iain.
My neighbour ruptured his Achilles landing awkwardly playing volleyball, so I suppose you do have a silver lining there!
So you're not in sunny Boston Road then? I'm sure you'll so miss it
Try and get away if you can. obviously surfing won't be an option, but it would be a change of scene. Try an leap on a Virgin to whisk you down there (train, that is! - Oops, little innuendo there - soz)

Don't know whats worse Iain, your torn ligaments or the fact that you will now be full time moderating. :DIain wrote:No one else around me to blame I'm afraid! Just landed badly from a header! As I had just finished at my last job it looks like I've got a wonderful three weeks on incapacity benefits before I can get a new one! Meant to be going to Cornwall next week but whether I now can is a different question!
On the positive side you now (temporarily at least) have a full time moderator!
Seriously, I know how nasty torn ligaments feel. Take your time hon. :?
You gotta fight for your right to .... PARTY!

i agree, it must be a very tough job moderating these boards, what with all the weird people that seem to post on here :D :D :D
Donncha O'Callaghan and Bruce Reihana are the best players that ever lived. Don't even bother to argue with me.
And - however good Imanol Harinordoquy is, he is still an idiot

what where you playing five a side on?? most i ever got on astroturf was concussion and a slightly gashed arm!! :roll:Iain wrote:My mate called earlier on asking me to play five a side. Well whats the worst that can happen I thought? Bit unfit but I'll give it a go.
Just got back from hospital sporting a cast and crutches. Badly torn ankle ligaments. after landing badly going up for a header. No weight on it and no driving for three weeks. Naturally I'm delighted :?
Forgot the resty - vesty is the besty!
It was some new fangled new rubber grass thats as close to real grass as you can get red. Was on one of the courts at Hinckley United's ground. In reality could have been any surface, wouldn't have made a difference. Just the way I landed unfortunately (my foot folded under me and my ankle toucking the ground!)
Definitely played my last game for my cricket club this summer, real shame as I was beginning to hit form with my bowling! Looks like I am reduced to keeping the scorebook tomorrow!

You lucky thing, getting a ticket for that. If I was to be in Leicester tomorrow, I would have tried to get tickets, but as I will be in the New Forest I shall just have to try & get the scores on WAP (assuming a signal  )
It's easy enough getting around the ground, but if you need the Gents, take note of the signs early on so you get there in plenty of time! (There speaks one who has been plastered before!)
