We are the only club who refuses to release signings details until the season is done, we see teams like saints, Saracens, glaws etc releasing signing info and it feels like we are missing a trick, if tigers did a press release saying we had signed a world class NZ flanker then the frustration and disappointment of the Gibson departure would soon diminish. The lack of knowledge to the fans is what brings frustration and disillusionment!!!
Maybe we dont announce signings early because we want to be honourable to the clubs we are taking players from.............
For the record PRL rules state that the players new club announces the signing and not their current one and they can choose when to do so
In all this doom and gloom people are forgetting that we have Marcos, Dan, Youngs brothers, Williams, Burns, Kitch, Slater and Manu signed up. A good enough spine on which to build a successful team.
I guess we will all find out cockers views and that will clarify the issues and his views.
It's gutting as he's clearly been given opportunity but I guess none of us know whether he was happy, like our ethos, thought he was worth more money etc
Our key aim must be to keep those who are tigers through and through and we are keeping them!!
We've kept Tom, Marcus, Dan there at the heart of our club.
Let's get crofts name on that list And shazam too.
And people like Owen, Balmain and Kitch are opting for a red, white&green future
Gibson going is a lost opportunity but He's only been here 2 years better he goes now than when we've spent more money, time and opportunity on him.
Looking forward to seeing which injury prone Italian journeyman replaces him.
I just cannot fathom our recruitment and retention strategy over the past 2 or 3 years. It's been very hit and miss to put it mildly and to hear our best young flanker is going to Saints is symptomatic of the problem in my opinion.

I didn't know parisse was coming over ;)
IMO Beckett on potential is our best young flanker ATM.
Gibson is 25 this year and has played only been selected to play 60 first class games. (excluding Cambridge). The amount of handwringing you would think the club is losing Richie McCaw.
