I wasn't able to make it, were we looking to shift the ball at point of contact or was it still one guy truck it up, type stuff?

Enjoyed the game as seems a very long time since we were at Welford road. Thought some fringe players stood up well and Volavola looks a useful player. The score line was a bit harsh on Nottingham who competed well but the run by Kata was worth the admission price alone.

As a Nottingham fan the scoreline was not unexpected but was better than I envisaged.
We’ve had worse beatings from Ealing :smt003
Tigers looking decent. Some big hits going off as someone else mentioned and the amount of injuries is a bit worrying. Good game though.

I think there was effort for faster handling/offloading and not so much crashball stuff. It got a bit lost when Notts began to really play. I agree with previous poster from Notts. They played very well - tribute to players AND coaches, and bodes well for their season.

How did Joussain, the dual-registered player from Notts, fare?

When are we anticipating the squad/team being announced for the Scarlets game.

Last week we announced the squad on the Wednesday but the team on Friday.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Be interesting to see what sort of team Scarlets bring, they have another friendly the week after against Salarycens.

Haven’t seen any update on Jamie Shillcock after he went off injured last week other than he was seen in a”Moon Boot” after the Nottingham game. Wonder if he will be involved Saturday ?

So 1 Fly Half and 3 scrum halves... Could we see a bit of Whiteley at 10?

Also no Cronin again, possibly injured, think I saw somewhere that he wasn't in the open training session again?

Cronin was at the open training session, but sat it out alongside Hendo.

Woodward is selected and down on the team’s list as centre/fly half.

Scarlets a pretty mixed bunch, no main Wales Players selected.

So of our theoretical first XV that could take the field at Sandy Park a handful won't have played a warm up game.

Let's hope the abject performances post a "rest" last season are a thing of the past.
