Centre, fly half and full back - 29 yrs old.
Solid, flexile player.
Could do worse unless one or both of the academy lads are going to be meaningfully transitioned in next season.
Good call. He was excellent at the weekend, unfortunately.

I agree with Tigris, James is a versatile player who would certainly challenge for a starting position and is a few years younger than Moroni.

Wacokecoke has some exciting talent, but makes too many errors. You never know whether he's going to beat 3 defenders, or trip over and drop the ball.

Sam James would be a very good signing, but I feel like he's got France written all over him.

I know what you mean - feels like a one-club-man as far as the Premiership goes - there was some comment along the lines of a "new adventure" from Sanderson in connection with him leaving. Not sure Leicester qualifies as an adventure.

Big and versatile back will go down a storm in France. Right age to snag himself a nice three year deal in the sunshine and on decent money I'd have thought.

Tigers are specialist recruiters of vintage players :smt003
Well should we be considering signing the Glous. released Jonny May back to Tigers in a role similar to Chris Ashton ????? No international gaps just a try scoring machine when he has the ball or goes hunting!
To the world you may be just one person.

Think this may be the case for a number of players reaching a certain age. No more England money to bolster the salary, no money in the English clubs and so they are only going to be offered significantly reduced terms as back up players. Most will have to look abroad if they want to keep they salary at anything like a similar level.

Don't think it's purely salary based.

It's also a lifestyle/life experience choice.

Definitely more players seeking a different lifestyle experience towards the ends of their careers these days.

Who can blame them?

Back in the day we signed many quality Irish, Italian and French players. G Murphy, J Murphy, N Morris, S Jennings, B Kayser, J Dupuy, L Ghiraldini.

Now with their domestic leagues I can’t see any English club signing players like them again.

Now we’re seeing South African players moving back home so I guess it’s now just Argentinian players where’s there still plenty about.

Probably a good thing for the English national team but not so much English clubs when it means their ability to attract outside talent is less than it used to be.

All very true. Add to that the upsurge of the Japanese leagues, with their wealth and shorter season and the days of top flight Southern Hemisphere talent are numbered imo.
Look forward 12 months who are we going to be looking at replacing Pollard with should he move on

Beets is an almost unknown quantity, admittedly with a very good pedigree through school and under 20s. I think Australia is the one country in the southern hemisphere where it is possible to get quality players though they aren’t that great in number
