TBF on B how many on here complained about Wigglesworth and Ashton as dross signings?

Fair point but they were old and experienced coming to the end of their careers but we're never dross

Fair point but they will never be remembered as dross especially if your Ashton the premierships top scorer ever and Wigglesworth the most capped premiership player

The thing that really struck me about the officiating yesterday was the sheer amount of Bristol knock ons, offsides and forward passes ignored by the officiators.

Wigglesworth was accepted as a decent player but it was said JvP wouldn't get minutes.

Ashton was roundly decried as a bad influence after issues at Worcester.

Brown though received the most cop (even though signing older players was accepted) right up until his MOTM on debut
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I was in line with it. It was forward. Not by very much. Can’t remember if it was the lineo that called it. The same lineo who missed the utterly obvious knock on that ended up with Mr B’s first yellow.

I think TMO called it after the lineo missed it. I was on the other side and Carley gave it originally but the chorus of booing on the big screen replay helped him with the review :smt046

Yes I would definitely agree with that. Many of their offsides were glaring failures to retreat.

I’ve never seen so many obvious knock ons missed especially the one that then saw Browny offend to get yellow and there was their winger in the last 16 or so minutes who lost the ball when tackled and he blatantly reached out to slap it back!
Still, it’s over now! Let’s hope we get some luck in the last two games!

Yeah, kind of my point. It was a marginal call, that went our way.

Again we lost a game from a stupid box kick , 2 minutes to go in there half and we give them the ball back , it can only come back to the coach, he needs to go , we have gone backwards

Agree I think it is a coaching issue, but not necessarily Mckellar’s fault completely. As I’m not convinced Youngs wouldn’t have done the same thing, how many times have we kicked it away in the opposition half over the last few years. I become tigers main attacking game plan, but most teams have spent the off season and international breaks adapting to it and working out how to counter attack it, so teams have moved away from it and those that haven’t are struggling.i can imagine it’s how Mckellar wants to play as it’s hardly the super rugby way, I just think it’s so ingrained in the players that when they’re playing they just keep reverting back to it.
I think Mckellars issue is he’s not managed to get the confidence in their skills good enough that with 2 minutes to play needing a bonus point win to realistically have any chance of making the play off to keep it in hand and try and score.

I see everyone complaining about the kick, yet no one mentioning the person who slapped it back… two handed.. Back INTO the Bristol players. (And it wasn’t the first time that happened) surely if we get a player under the ball we should be catching it.. otherwise it defeats the purpose of kicking over the defenders. It was a kick to compete.. not necessarily a bad tactic, it was the players who got under the ball and decided not to catch it who cares the problem imo
