Shame we didn't glean any points from the pressure in the first 15 minutes... i think that would have made it a different game.

Sadly so.. massively missed Pollards kicking tonight
Sorry, not sure which pollard people have been watching lately but the last few games he’s played he’s been terrible?
Disagree. He played quite well last week. A couple of months ago, I would have agreed with you.
I’ve not seen pollard play a game of rugby for a while where I thought he’s been top class. Seems to step his game up in and around when the boks are playing and wants a call up

Liebenberg needs a rest - which is odd when you’ve got Rogerson at the club. Montoya and Reffell anonymous at the breakdown. Youngs kicking the ball out on the full and Steward looked slow and lethargic. Needs a Mike Brown sprint coach. No wonder Furbank got picked.

Bassett I thought did play well tbf and OHC put in some important covering tackles. Kata is always class but thank god we’ve got Perese coming in for next season.
I thought in attack Steward looked decent.
Steward played well, perhaps tried to hard. Looked like he was trying to take on all the responsibility at the back. Made one absolute try saver as well as getting across to stop the kick Hatherall was about to walk into the corner. One of our best players that we didn't use enough.

Didn’t Pollard end on 3/3 kick in the Cup final last week? Might have missed something but his place kicking was pretty much spot on if memory serves

First loss to Glaws at home since when, 2007? Winning by 5 points with less than 5 minutes left and still lost? JVP looked good when he came on but the rest of the team looked jaded and tired. Tigers just not at the races.

Losing Borthwick, Sinfield and Walters is a massive chunk out of the team.. will take time to replace that
I totally agree and time for the new team to find their feet

Tigers reverting to the post-Cockers, pre-Borthwick era. Clueless in attack. Close quarters defense good but in the loose, poor. Aimless kicking with little or no kick chase?!

The attack coach needs to be sorted, it's all well and good the club getting behind Matt Smith, but anyone with half a rugby brain can see either he's not a good coach, or the players just don't listen to him. We could also do with a skills/kicking coach because we win that game if Shillcock had brought his kicking boots.

How you can have almost a pre-season and yet the players look knackered, I don't know. Either they aren't being pushed on the training ground, or they are being pushed too hard.

That first half was completely unacceptable. The week before we were demolished by Gloucester. There seemed to be no hunger from the squad to regain some pride.

If McKellar, Wilkes and Andrea think we don't need a first choice number 8 to replace Wiese, I'm very concerned.

How can Hanro need a rest - he’s barely played for 4-5 weeks! He looks off it though.

We were outplayed in the back 3 - Reffell was anonymous by his standards, Wiese trundled but didn’t really impose himself and cost us at the end with a lazy penalty that ultimately led to the final try.

Kelly was dreadful and our wingers just don’t look like they’ve got any X factor at all.

Worrying times

He certainly has not been at the top of his game since last Autumn, but he is still a better player than the rest of the 10s in the Premiership. Shillcock IMHO is not as bad as some make out but having a world class only playing International Class missing is going to make a difference.

We're now down to 7th. Bristol overtake us on points difference. Plus there are the other matches to be played this weekend. :smt009
