Charlie Atkinson not in the 23 is a surprise, wonder if us agreeing to him leaving early made sure they didn't select him
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Ironic given their captains penchant for the knee level chop tackle (particularly if strapping is visible!)westwinds31 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 12:21 pm McGuigan and Ludlow out injured for Glaws. A few posters on Shedweb blaming Hanro for the McGuigan injury !! Shame Ludlow isn't playing as he's good for a few penalties normally

Should be expecting a comfortable win in this one...

Surely we’d want the advantage of them missing all the place kicksTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 1:08 pm Charlie Atkinson not in the 23 is a surprise, wonder if us agreeing to him leaving early made sure they didn't select him

Biggest surprise for me tbh is Cokanasiga rather than Scott, Brown or Porter at 23...
Maybe a suggestion that he has done enough to earn a contract renewal?
Him and Whitcombe on the bench over Van Wyk and Scott could be a look to next season too?

Could be just that, if the rumours of Scott and Van Wyk leaving are true, we need to have a close look at what we have left to ensure that the cover is there.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:13 pm Biggest surprise for me tbh is Cokanasiga rather than Scott, Brown or Porter at 23...

When interviewed after a recent match (can't remember which...) McKellar was full of praise for Cockanasiga, I thought at the time he's got plans for him! To be honest none of us know what's been holding him back from selection.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:13 pm Biggest surprise for me tbh is Cokanasiga rather than Scott, Brown or Porter at 23...

No excuses, looking at that team. One bad loss could be curtains in the playoff race.
Glad to see Phil still in the 23. I do think he'll be worth sticking with.

With Cocanasinga if there is something they can work with that would be better than bringing a new player imo.
He certainly has pace and power and a decent passing game, so it maybe that he is starting to settle in.
If we lost Scott and Porter and he stepped up with Perese coming in I’d be very happy with that

He’s only 22 too, so plenty of time to develop. He played really well in the PRC semi and final and think long term he’s a 12. But Kelly seems to be playing more 13 these days.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 5:40 pmTotally agreeRugbygramps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 4:48 pm With Cocanasinga if there is something they can work with that would be better than bringing a new player imo.
