As a kid I was a Roughyeds supporter, cramming with my mates into the Watersheddings ground in the 'Threp-enny Rush' - you handed over a 3d piece (not p in those days) to get action closer up than the Crumbie. Oldham fell down the leagues alas and lost their ground. Now Ford and Sean Long are involved, and they've relocated to the Latics ground at Boundary Park, maybe there'll be a renaissance.
I wonder if George will end his playing days there, him being a former Saddleworth Rangers player with an Uppermill business.
