Seems very odd considering there's no mention of Duhan van Der Merwe's high tackle/offside not even being checked a couple of metres from the line and clearly stopping a French try in the first half.

You get away with some, some go against you. You have to roll with it.
Yes and Berry missing a blatant France turnover penalty just before Antonio's? yellow card and Scotland's try.

Great to see George Martin back in the squad but Manu really ? He is not the future!

I'm not sure Manu is even the present.

[/quote … funny! Not even recent past to be honest
At his peak Manu was immense but I genuinely cannot remember the last time that was. That’s not being cynical but when he put a 2/3 solid performances together to merit selection? I stand to be corrected if someone else knows

Given the number of fit options in the centres it makes sense.

If I was Dingwall I would not be a happy bunny if Manu replaced me in the starting team, and only lasted 50 minutes.
Maybe the standard of Barristas isn’t great in the squad so Manu is needed to make the coffee

But is Dingwall?
Seems short on pace.

2 caps in imo he’s done enough to keep his place certainly for the Scots

With the unavailable centres I think it would be silly not to have Manu in the squad. I'd take 50 minutes of him over 80 of Dingwall.

No he isn't the future, but you need to be looking at the next match, not a World cup 3 and a half years away.

Not sure I agree, and you pick Manu it also affects your bench as you to have to pick to replace him.
I may seem anti Manu, probably because I am. He no longer has the pace, his attacking game is limited to running into people, a battle he will loose against Tuipuloto, defensively he often caught out too. Quite simply he shouldn’t be there especially as he hasn’t played since December

I’d take a 30% fit Manu over Dingwall, don’t rate him at all I’m afraid

I would take Earl at 12 before Manu. The complete lack of development by Manu of other Rugby skills to counter his failing body speak volumes to me.
