Not overly confident for this one, but it would be great to go into the break with a win after 2 losses.

With the matches remaining, it will be very difficult to make the playoffs if we don't beat Harlequins. LBP is an absolute must.

Having said that, I'm not too worried about silverware this year, it's more about building towards next season.

Regarding Ilione he appears to have put on a lot of weight to me, are we building him up to be an 8, to replace Wiese possibly, or maybe he's just overweight and not fit and thats whats costing him selection.?

Not playing a more natural 7 v Quins & Will Evans could be costly.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Right game plan you keep the ball off the floor a number of teams have done that to Reffell. Easier said than done I know

If our power game works then it’s hard to jackal when you are getting smashed in the contact and getting up having been face down in the mud.

I’m not saying that will happen but it seems pretty obvious that our big back row is going to aim to punch holes in the Quins defence and negate Evans - plus defensively stop them on the gain line and slow their ball

Totally agree and also stop Esterhuizen as early as poss. Hatherall running lines as 2nd receiver at lock could be interesting

I feel it is a great shame that Marler is not playing as he readily voices Referees mistakes and with having Tom Foley
( or Fouly as some call is interpretations) that might have been worth a few points!
So the Sir is Foley , Assistants Craig Maxwell-Keys & Peter Allen with Andrew Jackson TMO in the box.
I live in hope that at 80 minutes the whistle goes and does not continue as they appear to prefer until a bonus point is scored on the 85th minute despite knock on's :smt006
To the world you may be just one person.
But to that one person you may be the world!

He's got a pretty big frame he can probably take some more weight and try to up his power. He was getting knocked back in the tackle Vs Chiefs. His breakdown work was good but he needs to be a bit more dominant in the contact area to play like how he likes to at senior level.

As he's only 21(almost 22) he is some way from peak physical strength yet, what I have seen of him shows he has the talent to kick on, takes time.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

And there may be an element of care; the lad has medical studies. It's not helpful if one interferes with the other to the detriment of both.

I agree. No matter what us fans think the coaches feel there is still some work needed. As another poster mentioned he’s fit as he’s playing for Nottingham. We may see him v Ealing

I think he's got massive potential and it's a case of fine tuning him for senior rugby. I'd definitely have him in the squad and probably in the XV for this one as opposed to playing for Notts but the coaches see him every day so know more than we do.

👍pity when we’ve got six weeks without a game that they take our players a week before the six nations

Then again, we’re disadvantaged for one game rather than six.
