Other matches - 19th - 21st January 2024

Post by Rugbygramps »

Start tonight with
Connacht v Bristol
Glasgow v Toulon

Connacht out of it with 1 point. A Bristol win could cement 4th place for them, but they are unlikely to climb to 3rd even with a tbp due to inferior points difference.
Win for Glasgow could push them up to 3rd, best Toulon can hope for is Challenge Cup with a win

Caulfield red card for stamping on Bealham. Not deliberate but incredibly reckless

The way he put his foot down, I can see why the ref thought it was more than an accident.

Can't prove anything, but it looked a bit suspect to me.

He definitely glanced down. I can’t believe it was deliberate but reckless all the same

We judge on outcome, not intention.

That was so harsh not to give that 4th try to Connacht, would have been in the top 10 finishes of all time and I think his heel was in the air not on the line...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Ta....I was acting as barman at home (Visitors) so missed that bit. Only saw the offence on replay.

Bordeaux score tbp which will keep them ahead of Bulls in table If Lyon win at Sarries Bulls could still end up 3rd.

Looks a cracker at The Bulls! Not sure where they will be seeded but doesn’t really matter anyway in one sense as SA sides are not allowed to host a SF.
