Excellent news!
Time for terrestrial TV channel to bid for the rights.
Hopefully the squad might have some Tigers in it.

Nothing against the tour, think it is a great idea but having watched a bit of the last 6 Nations tournament, is there not a bit of a gap between England and the rest of the home nations which may make selection difficult.

It's 3 years from now so time for new faces to come through, it will probably still be England centric.
We have plenty of Men's Lions squads that have been one nation heavy, the Test side often doesn't end up that way though.

Where do the other home nations stand in terms of their players being full time professionals like the red roses

On the flip slide, in a theoretical 2024 B&I Lions squad, how many non Irish players are nailed on 1st XV starters!Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 10:34 amTotally agree how many non English players make the test team
As The Times podcast says this week, it might have to be renamed the Irish and British Lions.

As you say if you name it now, I have a feeling by 2025 things will be different and there could be quite a split. For example it wouldn’t surprise to see Jamie Ritchie captain the squadHot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 4:17 pmOn the flip slide, in a theoretical 2024 B&I Lions squad, how many non Irish players are nailed on 1st XV starters!Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 10:34 amTotally agree how many non English players make the test team
