Shilcock that was woeful, he's not having a great game.

during that there were times where the tackle was made but no ruck formed and our defenders backed off, get over the ball and at least slow it down for crying out loud

Shillcock has been a liability in defence. They’ve really shown up a weakness I hadn’t noticed before.

In any case, that aweful missed tackle just cost us 7 just before the break.

So his defence should therefore be better…I dont blame him for Skelton running over him but in that passage he was found wanting more than once. All came from a poor read from Chessum in midfield.

He's a really good player and an asset to the team. A great back up to Pollard.

That missed tackle however...

Not sure anybody would have stopped Skelton from there.

Bring on Pollard & Wiese as for Shillcock a 15 playing at 10. A 15 must be able to tackle below the waist.
