I didn’t see any of the ball hit the line.Tigers86asw wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 3:48 pmI would say it’s 50/50. If it was given against us I would be annoyed. Seems odd that your own hand can stop the ball being grounded but there we go.

Agreed. That’s a shocking decision. There was no clear grounding or being held up, so go with on field decision.

We really need JvP and Ben back.

He’d have given that the other end 100%….”nothing clear and obvious”.
On field decision was try so it should have stood.
Anyway it’s done, keep doing what we’re doing and we’ll be in a good place. Finally look threatening in the the red zone and like scoring some try’s

Poor from Pearce.
How often do you get a ‘no clear grounding’ from such a strong driving maul that far over the line.
Then theres a clear knock on in Sarries 22, goes against, when it’s pointed out on the screen right in front of where they’re stood he replies with ‘we don’t referee by screens.’
And multiple times he’s stated our last try was on field try so had to be clearly held up, no way it was ‘clear’

I'd agree with that, it all comes down to the onfield decision being try. There's no certain evidence to show it wasn't grounded. Had he come to a different onfield decision then it probably isn't given.Bristol Tiger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 3:53 pmAgreed. That’s a shocking decision. TMO certainly hasn't helped any, no idea how Cinti didn't get a card for tipping Steward onto his head.
We've played fairly well so far. Just need to tighten up the midfield defence. Pollard and Kata are biting in to easily and leaving Kelly marking a lot of pitch.

Decisions could have gone either way - hey ho but we are fronting up well and most of the game is being played in Sarries half.
It’s just a good old fashioned game of rugby with some good forward battles and some decent play in the backs at times too.
It’ll be tough 2nd half but we are doing okay so far

Bench is key - if we can get forward dominance from our subs and not have any back injuries we might be able to hold out. Discipline needs to be tight!

That’s a yellow card. High tackle off the ball.

Farrell hurt his shoulder because that arm did not wrap. Again.

Well if we win this it will be against 16 men because the ref seems to have gotten worse….

The scrum is our way to winning the game.
