The match between Ealing Trailfinders and Cornish Pirates was abandoned after a player was knocked unconscious. I must confess to being somewhat puzzled by this, what are your thoughts?

Re: Championship abandoned
It was abandoned after the only medical crew had to take him to hospital. Thus meaning no medical team if another was injured. Seems sensible - more so given the league funding means having two crews is expensive for the host to fund.

Posted about this in the "other match" thread for this weekend.
Ealing leading 12-0 after 58 minutes (there seems to be 62 minutes floating around too, wonder if some "stopped clock" confusion Ealing Trailfinders Twitter feed says 58...
https://twitter.com/ealingtfrugby/statu ... ZIiDg&s=19 ). My understanding is if it reached 60 they would have taken the score as it was then and given points to Ealing, as it is it will be replayed in full.
Replaying it to me seems fair. 12 points is a decent lead but my understanding was the incident that caused it was foul play so with the severity one suspects that the Ealing player would have been sent off so remainder of the game would have been 15v14

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

60 minutes is the magic figure as TFS says. Then the result would have stood
